CBD Oil With THC: All You Need to Know

There is a metaphorical cornucopia of cannabidiol (CBD) products available today, from CBD cream to CBD hemp oils that offer a long checklist of benefits. What may surprise you is that even in states where recreational weed oil is illegal, therapeutic cannabis oils with low levels of THC are legal and readily available. Let’s look at everything you need to know about CBD oil with THC.

Hemp Extract to Hemp Oil

It starts with a seed and ends with a wide array of CBD oil benefits. How does it get there? Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, it is now federally legal to grow cannabis plants that contain less than 0.3% THC.1 These cannabis plants then go through a process of extraction to obtain all of the beneficial cannabis compounds that are added to hemp oils. Various methods can be used, but it is worth noting that some extraction methods, like butane extraction, can leave impurities in the hemp extract. For that reason CO2 extraction is superior. The compounds extracted can be isolated to produce products such as pure CBD oil, CBD isolate. If the hemp extract is left with the full spectrum of compounds found in the cannabis plant, full-spectrum CBD oil can be produced, which does contain THC. Depending on the plant from which it was extracted (and what is legal in the state in which it was grown), this full-spectrum oil may contain as little as less than 0.3% THC or much higher.

Does CBD Oil Get You High?

CBD is non-psychoactive.2 CBD will not get you high. THC, on the other hand, is psychoactive.2 THC will get you high. Whether or not you get high is dependent upon the amount of THC present in your CBD oil. At 0.3% THC or below, you will not get high. In states where recreational cannabis is legal, you will be able to find CBD hemp oils with enough THC to get you high.

CBD Oil Benefits With THC

At less than 0.3% THC, you may be wondering why THC should be included at all. It has long been hypothesized that CBD, THC, the other non-major cannabinoids found in hemp, flavonoids, and terpenes work together to create a synergistic effect.3 This “entourage effect,” as it’s called, is believed to enhance the hemp oil benefits received from either CBD or THC alone.

Complete Hemp or Incomplete Hemp?

If you have tried CBD oils that do not contain THC and feel like you didn’t get the results you wanted, try Complete Hemp’s full-spectrum CBD oil. Some people swear by the entourage effect, and everything else feels incomplete.

Complete Hemp offers more than just full-spectrum oils, and is sure to have something that will work for you. Complete Hemp also offers:
