The Importance of Purchasing Properly Labeled CBD Products
Dec 11th 2020
Have you ever found the perfect item on a website, ordered it, and eagerly awaited its delivery only to have it arrive and look nothing like the picture shown on the website? There is so much disappointment when this happens. It’s pretty easy to tell that something isn’t right when the discrepancy between what was ordered and what was received is for an item like a coffee mug, or a knit hat, or any item where the defect is clearly visible, but it is really difficult to know something is wrong when the discrepancy is invisible, like information.
We live in an era where the term “fake news” is commonplace, and “truth” is a relative term. Fact-checking has become a somewhat lucrative job because of how much misinformation is being spread. Studies have reliably shown the CBD effects from cannabidiol’s interaction with the endocannabinoid system1, but could the reason that you’re not getting the CBD oil benefits for which you’ve been hoping be because what is shown on the product label does not line up with what is actually in the product?
Pure CBD or Pure Nonsense?
Hemp extract products are not strictly regulated by the FDA.2 Because of that, much of the CBD for sale doesn’t contain what is printed on the label. In recent years, even though the FDA doesn’t regulate hemp extract products, they did test a few CBD products (for other reasons than just that they contain CBD) and sent warning letters to their manufacturers along with the test results. Shockingly, among 34 out of 38 of the products they tested, there was a discrepancy between the amount of cannabinoids printed on the label and the amount that was actually present in the product. Many of them contained no cannabinoids at all!3
How upset would you be to find out that you have been taking CBD hemp oil, on which you spent your hard-earned money, that actually contains no CBD whatsoever?
It’s time to switch to a manufacturer you know you can trust.
How to Buy CBD Oil You Can Trust
Pretty labels can sometimes advertise petty products. Regardless of how beautifully a CBD product is packaged, what is on the inside is what counts because that is what will be going inside of you. How can you trust what is shown on the label to be what you will actually receive?
At Complete Hemp, all of our products are tested by third-party facilities. We’re not asking you to take our word for the contents of our products.
